Illinois Assoc. of REALTORS Sues IL Officials
IAR sues over funds taken from the Real Estate License Act to balance the state budget. On June 2, the Illinois Association of REALTORS filed a lawsuit in the Circuit Court, Seventh Judicial Circuit, Sangamon County, Ill., against six officials of the State of Illinois.
The action challenges the constitutionality of the Fiscal Year 2007 Budget Implementation Act to the extent the Act authorizes removing moneys from the Real Estate License Administration Fund and transferring it into the General Revenue Fund.
