Blog Marketing For Appraisers 101
I'm just NOW getting into "Blogging" and I don’t know WHY it took me so long?
For appraisers, blogs can become a powerful tool in attracting new clients and communicating with current ones.
Some appraisers are beginning to send out regular newsletters (XSellerate) to their client bases; blogs can be easily adapted into online versions of the same newsletters.
An appraiser's weblog (Blog) might provide tips to homebuyers and sellers, links to articles on housing trends, tidbits from obscure industry or technology newsletters.
An appraiser might choose to create a blog on their local community, updating readers on events, linking to news stories about the area, highlighting area amenities, posting online news articles from the local newspaper's website. A real estate blog can help appraisers show their knowledge of and commitment to their community and profession.
A real estate blog can be a supplement or replacement to a monthly newsletter that appraisers are sending to their lending clients. It can provide information on and link to new forms and regulations from the state, mortgage or appraisal fraud alerts, educational opportunities, legislative updates and links to relevant articles and websites.
Since blogs often attract readers interested in narrowly focused subjects, blogs can be ideal tools for appraisers that specialize in niche markets. Such blogs would help show potential clients the appraiser's expertise in working with specific types of properties or assignment types.
